Mathematics is an integral part of our daily lives, influencing everything from simple tasks like budgeting and cooking to complex research in diverse fields such as engineering, medicine and technology. Recognising its profound impact, National Mathematics Day is celebrated annually on 22nd December to honour the contributions of great mathematicians and to promote the importance of mathematics in society. This special day commemorates the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose groundbreaking work continues to inspire mathematicians and researchers worldwide.
To mark this occasion, the Literary Club Anushasan organized various activities for students which included interactive quizzes, problem-solving challenges and discussions on the applications of mathematics in everyday life and advanced research.
Students explored how mathematical concepts underpin technologies like computers, smartphones and medical imaging. They also explored the role of mathematics in fields such as economics, architecture, and environmental science. By remembering the legacy of Mr. Srinivasa Ramanujan and engaging young minds, the day reinforces the timeless significance of mathematics in both daily life and cutting-edge research. Around 115 students actively participated in the Activity.
The summit serves as a bridge connecting visionary entrepreneurs with resources, mentorship, and markets. Around 30 students participated in the summit and attended various expert-led sessions.
