MOU between APGCR and IEC

Entrepreneurship is a crucial driving factor in the economic growth, innovation and societal progress of any nation. It cultivates creativity, problem-solving and resilience, the qualities essential for the future workforce. To achieve the goal of inculcating the entrepreneurial mindset among management students and to transform their ideas into innovations and impactful ventures, APGCR collaborated with NGO to equip students with experiential learning that complements theoretical knowledge.

In a significant stride towards this goal, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on 18th February 2026 between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council (IEC NGO) and Aurora’s PG College, Ramanthapur (APGCR). This collaboration aims to bolster the ‘Campus Incubation Centre,’ a hub designed to support and nurture budding entrepreneurs on campus. The partnership aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and integrates frameworks from the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), NAAC, AICTE, and UGC ensuring a holistic approach toward innovation and entrepreneurship education.

The incubation centre serves as an ecosystem promoting innovation and start-up culture through varied activities. These include awareness programs on innovation and entrepreneurship, ecosystem sensitisation, ideathons, hackathons, and innovation challenges that stimulate creative problem-solving. The interactive sessions with start-up founders, intellectual property awareness workshops, pitching sessions, demo days and structured pre-incubation and incubation programs provide students with hands-on experience and mentorship.

Regular mentoring, progress reviews, and tracking mechanisms are integral to the incubation framework, ensuring that students receive continuous guidance and support. By hosting idea pitching competitions, seminars, workshops, and founder talks, the incubation centre creates a dynamic environment that encourages knowledge exchange and networking. Further, serving as the official media and outreach partner under Startups India for IEC-related activities enhances visibility and engagement with the broader start-up ecosystem. This collaboration strengthens the commitment to transform innovative ideas into viable business ventures, thereby contributing to the nation’s entrepreneurial growth.
