"Har Ghar Tiranga" program, an initiative that encouraged every Indian household, organisations, communities and institutions to hoist the national flag and celebrate the tricolor with pride. This inspiring campaign aimed to deepen the connection between citizens and the nation’s rich heritage, developing a sense of belonging and national pride across communities. The cultural club Aroop, took the initiative on 12th August toengageour enthusiastic students and dedicated facultyin making this program a memorable success.
"Har Ghar Tiranga", a flag-hoisting exercise, is a celebration of India's unity in diversity, a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless heroes who fought for the country’s freedom and a commitment to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution. The program called upon every citizen to display the tricolor at their homes, schools and workplaces, transforming the nation into a vibrant mosaic of orange, white and green. This widespread participation was intended to reignite the flame of patriotism and inspire collective responsibility towards nation-building.
Aroop spearheaded a series of engaging activities to involve the entire Aurora community, in spreading awareness about the importance of the national flag and the symbolism it carries. Workshops were held to educate participants on the flag code, the history of the Tiranga, and the values it represents. Students from diverse backgrounds came forward with creative ideas to celebrate the Tiranga. Together, faculty and students collaborated on decorating campus spaces with tricolor banners creating an atmosphere charged with patriotism. Special assemblies were conducted where stories of India's freedom fighters were narrated, inspiring everyone to remember and honor their sacrifices.
The success of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" program is a shining example of how a shared vision and collaborative effort can create meaningful impact. This celebration of the tricolor was more than a momentary event with a lasting pledge to cherish and protect the values that make India truly incredible.
