Financial knowledge and understanding of finance empower individuals to make informed decisions about saving, investing and managing money, ultimately leading to financial independence and security. The Finance Club “Aarjitha” and the Training and Placement Cell, jointly with SEBI(Securities and Exchange Board of India), organised a workshop on the Investor Awareness to enhance the financial literacy of students and staff on 30th December 2025.
This initiative is a part of a formal collaboration marked by the signing of a Letter of Understanding between the Institution and SEBI. The program aims to broaden the financial horizons of students and staff by equipping them with essential knowledge about the stock markets, investment strategies and risk management. The SEBI Investor Awareness Program is designed to prepare students for real-world financial activities, enabling them to confidently participate in share markets and other investment opportunities. Through interactive sessions, workshops and expert talks, students learnt the fundamentals of investing, regulatory frameworks and the importance of making prudent financial choices.
This proactive approach to financial education aligns perfectly with the growing need for young adults to be financially literate, where personal finance decisions impact every aspect of life. The collaboration with SEBI strengthens the commitment of the Club to nurture a generation of informed investors who contribute positively to the economy. Around 150 students along with faculty participated in the program.
