Grasping the dynamics of securities markets is mandatory for investors and emerging professionals, which include stock exchanges, bond markets and various financial instruments, the foundation of contemporary economic systems. Serving as a link, securities markets connect investors aiming for returns with companies requiring capital, while maintaining liquidity and transparency throughout the process. To disclose the securities markets to students, the Training and Placement cell organised a guest lecture on 11th July, 2025, held by Mr Subhayu Das, Assistant General Manager at the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), who gave an illuminating lecture on the vast career opportunities within securities markets and the indispensable role they play in the business world.
Mr Das elaborated on the comprehensive range of modules available, covering foundational topics like financial markets, securities laws and investment management and advanced subjects such as derivatives, mutual funds and risk management. The certification programs offered through NISM-LOU are recognised by regulators and employers alike, making them valuable credentials for job seekers. Mr Das encouraged students to explore these courses as a stepping stone to build expertise and credibility in the securities domain.
We are honoured to announce that NISM and Aurora’s PG College, Ramanthapur, have officially signed a Letter of Understanding (LOU) to facilitate the conduct of examinations at our campus. This collaboration will enable students to pursue the finance and securities modules of NISM, enhancing their educational experience and providing them with valuable certification opportunities. We believe this partnership will significantly contribute to the academic growth of our students and strengthen our commitment to excellence in finance education.
